B337 Loss of HVAC Programmer Data
Code B337 - Loss Of HVAC Programmer Data:
Wiring Diagram for Codes B334, B335, B336 & B337:
CODE B337 - LOSS OF PROGRAMMER DATA
Circuit Description:
Code B337 will set if the ignition is on and the BCM is not able to exchange data with the programmer. This means the problem must be caused by two opens in the data circuit, one on either side of the programmer or loss of power or ground to the programmer. During the time the failure is present the A/C clutch will be disabled.
Test Description:
1. Checks for intermittent condition
2. Checks to see if the fault is due to a data circuit problem or a power or ground circuit problem.
3. Checks to see if the data circuit problem is due to the wiring or programmer.
4. Checks to see if the power or ground circuit problem is due to the programmer or the circuits.
5. Checks to see if the fault is in the power or ground circuits.
Note on Intermittents:
If only code B337 shows up as "History", check for momentary opens in CKT 800F and 800E, or momentary loss of ignition 3 (CKT 750), or momentary loss or ground (CKT 801M).
If code B337 is set as "History", along with any of the following codes set as "history"; B334, B335, B336, B552, B553, E047, see chart on "Multiple Intermittent Codes".
