ECM DIAGNOSTIC CODES

Circuit Description:

When the ECM diagnostics are activated, the display will show all codes stored in the ECM and BCM. (See Diagnostic Codes Chart or the code list and the comments relative to each code.) The code comments can be a great aid in helping to diagnose an emission or driveability problem.

Clear all codes before making a repair (ECM and BCM.) Some ECM related problems will set a BCM code as well. After repair has been made, again clear all codes that may have been set during testing and repair. Confirm closed loop operation and make sure that there is no Service Engine Soon Light.
