Evaporator Core: Service and Repair

ELECTRA, LESABRE, REATTA, RIVIERA & 98

1. Disconnect battery ground cable and discharge system refrigerant.
2. Remove vacuum tank and disconnect vacuum lines.
3. Remove wiring harness cover, then disconnect wiring from cowl.
4. Disconnect heater hoses and coolant lines.
5. Remove blower motor, exhaust heat shield and blower motor resistor.
6. Remove righthand sound insulator.
7. Remove heater distribution duct, then the blower motor and evaporator core.
8. Reverse procedure to install.
