Removal

Water Pump Mounting:

1. Disconnect negative battery cable.

2. Drain engine coolant.

3. Remove accessory drive belts.

4. Remove lower radiator hose at pump.

5. Remove heater hose at pump.

6. Remove water pump pulley attaching bolts (long bolt is removed through access hole provided in the body side rail).

7. Remove water pump pulley.

8. Remove water pump attaching bolts.

9. Remove water pump.

10. Clean water pump gasket mating surface.

11. Clean timing chain cover.
