No Engine Braking In L1
1. Improperly adjusted manual linkage.2. D-3 orifice in spacer plate plugged.
3. Control valve body gaskets leaking, damaged, or incorrectly installed.
4. D-2 oil pipe leaking or out of position.
5. L1 overrun clutch valve binding in valve body.
6. L1 /Reverse check ball 10 improperly positioned or missing.
7. L1 /Detent check ball 9 improperly positioned or missing.
8. PT/D-3 check ball 3 improperly positioned or missing.
9. Turbine shaft and overrun clutch. No manual 3rd or 2nd should also be a complaint with the following:
a. Plugged or undrilled D-3 oil passage in turbine shaft.
b. D-3 oil passage not drilled through in overrun clutch hub.
c. Missing or damaged oil seals in the overrun clutch piston.
d. Burned overrun clutches.
e. Overrun clutch backing plate snap ring out of groove.
10. Case porosity.
11. L1/Reverse clutch assembly. No reverse should also be a complaint with any of the following conditions:
a. Broken or missing piston seals.
b. Clutch housing snap ring out of case.
c. Cracked/porous piston or housing.
d. Missing or damaged cup plug or rubber seal between case and L1 /Reverse clutch housing.
