REMOVAL
1. Disconnect battery ground cable.
2. Remove left sound insulator, steering column filler pad and collar assembly.
3. Remove sound insulator from instrument panel and dash assembly.
4. Remove instrument panel center trim and panel compartment insert.
5. Remove right and lower instrument panel trim assemblies.
6. Remove A/C control assembly and defroster outlet.
7. Remove radio, upper and lower instrument panel attaching bolts.
8. Remove console bracket attaching bolts and lower steering column assembly.
9. Remove lower heater duct.
10. Mark, then disconnect all necessary electrical connectors to enable the instrument panel to be moved outward.
11. Drain cooling system, then carefully discharge refrigerant from A/C system.
12. Raise and support vehicle.
13. Disconnect and cap refrigerant lines from evaporator assembly.
14. Disconnect heater hoses and remove drain hose.
15. Remove lower module attaching bolts.
16. Lower vehicle.
17. Remove top module attaching bolts and inside module attaching bolts.
18. Remove vacuum tank and disconnect vacuum lines from actuator assembly.
19. Remove ECM assembly and bracket.
20. Remove instrument panel attaching bracket and module assembly, Fig. 3.
INSTALLATION
1. Install instrument panel attaching bracket and module assembly, Fig. 3.
2. Install ECM assembly and bracket.
3. Install vacuum tank and connect vacuum lines from actuator assembly.
4. Install top module attaching bolts and inside module attaching bolts.
5. Raise vehicle.
6. Install lower module attaching bolts.
7. Connect heater hoses and connect drain hose.
8. Connect refrigerant lines from evaporator assembly.
9. Lower vehicle.
10. Fill cooling system, then charge A/C system.
11. Connect all necessary electrical connectors and move instrument panel into place.
12. Install lower heater duct.
13. Install console bracket attaching bolts and raise steering column assembly.
14. Install radio, upper and lower instrument panel attaching bolts.
15. Install A/C control assembly and defroster outlet.
16. Install right and lower instrument panel trim assemblies.
17. Install instrument panel center trim and panel compartment insert.
18. Install sound insulator to instrument panel and dash assembly.
19. Install left sound insulator, steering column filler pad and collar assembly.
20. Connect battery ground cable.
