No Drive In Drive Range
1. Check for correct oil level and/or external leaks.2. Inspect manual linkage for proper adjustment.
3. Check for the following possible causes of incorrect oil pressure:
a. Plugged or restricted oil filter.
b. Cut or missing oil filter seals.
c. Pump assembly pressure regulator stuck.
d. Pump rotor tangs damaged by converter.
e. Porosity in oil filter to pump intake bore.
4. Inspect overdrive unit for the following:
a. Springs missing in roller clutch.
b. Rollers galled or missing.
5. Inspect forward clutch for the following:
a. Piston cracked and/or seals missing or damaged.
b. Clutch plates burned.
c. Snap ring out of groove.
d. Missing or damaged turbine shaft oil seal rings.
e. Leak in feed circuits.
f. Pump to case gasket improperly positioned or damaged.
g. Leaking or missing cup plug in rear of forward clutch shaft clutch apply passage.
6. Inspect low and reverse roller clutch for the following:
a. Springs missing and/or rollers galled or missing.
