Pressure Gauge Installation and Removal

INSTALLATION:
1. Depressurize the hydraulic accumulator.
2. Remove the accumulator from the pump, using a 10 mm hex bit socket and driver. Use a shop cloth to absorb leaking fluid.
3. Install the J-35604 pressure gauge in these steps:
A. Install the J-35604-88 adapter and accumulator, with 0-ring seals.
B. Install the gauge with its 0-ring seal
C. Tighten the adapter to 20 Nm, (15 lb. ft.) torque.
4. Turn the ignition switch to the "run" position. Observe the fitting area for signs of fluid leaking. Be prepared to quickly turn OFF the pump, if necessary.
5. Correct the cause of any fluid leak and repeat step 4.

REMOVAL:
1. Depressurize the hydraulic accumulator.
2. Remove the accumulator, gauge, and adapter. Use a shop cloth to absorb leaking fluid.
3. Inspect the accumulator 0-ring seals Replace them, if damaged. Install the seals to be used.
4. Install the pump-to-high pressure hose fitting bolt. Tighten it to 20 N-m (15 lb. ft.) torque.
5. Follow steps 4 and 5 of the pressure gauge installation procedure.
