Operation CHARM: Car repair manuals for everyone.

Without Pulse

DESCRIPTION
The standard wiper/washer system uses a two speed permanent magnet motor. This system operates at either low or high speed. A column mounted wiper/washer switch controls low speed, high speed, mist and wash. Moving the wiper/washer switch to LO or HI causes the wiper system to operate at the respective speed selected.

The MIST position of the wiper/washer switch causes the wipers to operate for one back and forth sweep of the wiper arms. When this sweep is completed, motor operation stops. If the wipers are operating normally, and the wiper/washer switch is moved to OFF, the wipers will finish their sweep in low speed until they reach the park position. With the wipers in the park position, motor operation will stop.
