System Description

DESCRIPTION
A modular depressed park, non-articulating arm wiper system is used on this vehicle. This system produces a symmetrical overlapping wipe pattern. Twenty (20) inch metal windshield wiper blades are used. A wet arm washer system is standard.

The system is installed in the vehicle as a module which includes the motor, linkage and transmission assembled to a carrier plate, which is attached to the cowl panel by six (6) bolts. The module can be removed from the vehicle as an assembly for bench service testing and diagnosis of any of its components.

A centrally located bell crank has been added to the conventional symmetrical overlap system to maintain wiper blade separation in the wipe mode.

This vehicle may be equipped with either a standard two speed system or optional pulse wipe system. Both systems use a permanent magnet motor.
