Air Flow Meter/Sensor: Description and Operation
MPFI Throttle Body:
PURPOSE
The Mass Air Flow (MAF) sensor is used to measure the amount of air which passes through it.
OPERATION
The Mass Air Flow (MAF) sensor is used to measure the amount of air which passes through it. The ECM uses this information to determine the operating condition of the engine, and to control fuel delivery. The MAF sensor is a component of the computerized engine controls system, for further information see COMPUTERIZED ENGINE CONTROLS.
LOCATION
The Mass Air Flow (MAF) sensor is attached to the front (air inlet side) of the throttle body
