Bulletin 89-9-6

Date Mar., '89

Ref. No. 89-088-9

Corp. Ref. No. 919602

SUBJECT: POOR AM OR FM RADIO RECEPTION - ANTENNA COAXIAL FEMALE TERMINAL REPAIR PROCEDURE

MODELS AFFECTED: ALL MODELS 1980 - 1989

Some of the above mentioned models may exhibit poor AM or FM radio reception. This may be caused by a poor contact on the female terminal of the antenna coaxial cable lead.

The illustration on the back of this bulletin has a four-step procedure to test and repair the female terminal. The opening in the female terminal should range from .120" to .125" in diameter. A .125" pin gage should have some resistance to passing through the female terminal. If the gage passes through freely, the terminal should be repaired as illustrated. Gage sets are available from Kent Moore using tool number J26900-14.
