NOTICE:
This bulletin supersedes Buick Dealer Service Bulletin 88-6C-2 which should be discarded.


Some 1988-89 Regals assembled prior to the VIN breakpoint indicated above may exhibit an audible fuel tank oil canning/popping noise. To eliminate this condition, an interim design change that incorporates additional ribbing to the upper and lower fuel tank sections was initiated.

Vehicles exhibiting this condition may be repaired by replacing the existing fuel tank with a new tank, P/N 10140614, following applicable shop manual procedures.

Parts are currently available from GMSPO.
