Coolant Cavity Cover

Throttle Body Assembly Exploded View:

Throttle Body Removal:

REMOVAL:

1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
2. Remove the throttle body from the engine.
3. Remove the coolant cover retaining screws.
4. Remove the coolant cavity cover and "O" ring, discard "O" ring.
5. Clean "O" ring surfaces.
6. Inspect the sealing surfaces for corrosion or damage that could cause a coolant leak. Replace the coolant cover or throttle body if necessary.

INSTALLATION:

1. Lubricate the new coolant cover to throttle body "O" ring with ethylene glycol anti-freeze.
2. Install the "O" ring in the cavity of the throttle body.
3. Position the coolant cavity cover in place and hold.
4. Insert the retaining screws and tighten to 1.0 Nm (9 lb.in).
5. Reinstall the throttle body onto engine.
6. Connect the negative battery cable.
