MODELS AFFECTED: 1989-90 CENTURY WITH 3300 (VIN N) AND 4T60 (440T4) TRANSMISSION

1989-90 CENTURY AND SKYLARK MODELS WITH 3300 (VIN N) AND 3T40 (125C) TRANSMISSION

THIS BULLETIN HAS BEEN REVISED TO ADD 1989-90 SKYLARKS WITH 3300 ENGINE AND 125C TRANSMISSION AND TO ADD NEW PART NUMBERS. DISCARD BULLETIN 89-6E-17, AS THIS BULLETIN SUPERSEDES INFORMATION IN IT.

Some 1989-90 Century and Skylark models equipped with a 3300 engine (VIN N), may experience a condition described as engine does not stay running on initial cold start and/or experience poor cold engine performance.

If these conditions are experienced on a vehicle when the basic engine controls and systems are performing properly, and cannot be repaired by using currently published service and diagnostic procedures, it may be necessary to install a new service Mem-cal.
