Pump Cover, Disassemble

1. Remove converter clutch apply valve train as follows:

a. Compress converter clutch apply valve spring, remove retaining ring, slowly release spring tension, then remove stop valve, converter clutch valve and converter clutch valve springs.

2. Remove pressure relief ball. Ball is under strong spring pressure. Place a protective covering over ball and spring to prevent personal injury and loss.

3. Remove pressure regulator valve using same procedure as converter clutch apply valve train as described previously.
