SERVICE MANUAL UPDATE

Use this procedure when servicing the oil filter adapter on the following vehicles. Please update your Regal manual accordingly.

Oil Filter Adapter





Figure 1

Remove or Disconnect

- Raise vehicle and suitably support; refer to GENERAL INFORMATION (SECTION 0A).

1. Oil filter
2. Connector
3. Adapter and gasket

Clean
- Oil filter adapter and engine block mating surface.

Install or Connect

1. Gasket
2. Adapter
3. Connector

- Tighten
- Connector to 67 N-m (50 lb.ft.)

4. Oil filter

- Lower vehicle
- Check oil level and fill to proper level if necessary. Refer to
MAINTENANCE AND LUBRICATION (SECTION 0B).
