Headlamp: Description and Operation

The Light Control Module is a solid state unit that controls power to exterior lights. It receives input from:

^ Head/Park Light Switch
^ Twilight Sentinel/Daytime Running Lights Photocell
^ Remote Accessory Control (RAC) Module
^ Transaxle Position Switch
^ Dim/Twilight Sentinel Control

Optional features include:

^ Twilight sentinel
^ Daytime running lights

Twilight sentinel turns exterior lights on or off in response to ambient light levels as detected by the photocell. It also provides a timed lights-on period after the Ignition Switch is turned to OFF.

When daytime running lights are activated, power is applied to LO beam headlights through the daytime running lights resistor whenever ignition switch is at RUN and gear selector lever is not at park.
