BACK WINDOW REVEAL MOLDING APPEARANCE (INSTALL NEW MOLDING)
MODELS AFFECTED:
1992 LESABRE
CONDITION:
The 1992 LeSabre models may exhibit a poor appearance of the back window molding due to shrinkage.
CORRECTION:
1. To replace the upper back window molding, use part number 25602834. To replace the lower back window molding, use part number 25602835 on all vehicles except those equipped with the vinyl top, Option CB-5. Vehicles equipped with a vinyl top require part number 25602836.
2. Remove the upper molding. Assure the molding retainer is clean and dry. Apply a light bead of Loctite 380 (Black Max) or Loctite 410 or equivalent adhesive in one inch beads in locations shown in Figure 1. Apply only enough adhesive to assure proper retention.
3. Center and install the new molding.
IF NECESSARY TO REPLACE THE LOWER MOLDING
1. Remove the lower reveal molding. Assure the molding retainer is clean and dry. Apply Loctite 380 (Black Max) or Loctite 410 or equivalent in one inch lengths in areas noted on Figure 1.
2. Center and install the lower reveal molding.
