Water Pump: Description and Operation

Coolant Pump Mounting:

The coolant pump is a centrifugal-type pump consisting of an impeller, impeller driveshaft, pulley flange, and a stamped steel housing. The pulley which attaches to the pump is driven by the back side of the serpentine drive belt.
