Luggage Compartment Lid Release

Voltage is applied through the CTSY Fuse to the Release Switch. With the switch closed, current flows through the Release Solenoid to ground releasing the Luggage Compartment Lid Lock.

Tailgate Release

With the Ignition Switch in RUN, BULB TEST, or START and the Gear Selector Lever in PARK, voltage is applied to the Release Switch. When the switch is closed, voltage is applied to the Release Relay. The relay energizes and voltage is applied to the Release Solenoid, releasing the Tailgate.
