Battery voltage is applied at all times through the TAIL Fuse to the Light Switch. When the Light Switch is in PARK or HEAD and the Dimmer Switch is in HI, battery voltage is applied to all the lights. As the Dimmer Switch is moved toward LO, less voltage is applied to the lights, and the lights dim.In vehicles equipped with Daytime Running Lights (DRL), battery voltage is applied at all times to the DRL Module. At dusk, the Photoresistor senses the absence of light and closes a switch in the module. This applies voltage to the Dimmer Switch, lighting the Instrument Panel Lights.
