Troubleshooting Hints - Interior Lights Dimming

Try the following checks before performing other diagnosis.

1. Check the TAIL Fuse, Light Switch, and ORN (240) wire by observing the Park Lights. See EXTERIOR LIGHTS if the Park Lights do not operate.
2. Check the INST LPS Fuse.
3. If only one light does not operate, check the bulb and wiring to the suspect light.
4. If brightness of the Instrument Panel Lights does not vary when Dimmer Switch is adjusted, replace the Light Switch.
5. If the Instrument Panel Lights do not operate, check the GRY (8) and BLK (150) wires. Check the bulbs if the GRY (8) and BLK (150) wires are OK.
6. If the Instrument Panel Lights do not come on at dusk, see HEADLAMPS, With Daytime Running Lights for diagnostic procedures.
