Troubleshooting Hints

Try the following checks before doing the System Check.

1. Check Body Fuse 2 if no Keyless Entry functions operate.
2. Check NSSS Fuse 7 if Trunk Lid Release Inhibit or Automatic Door Lock (ADL) does not operate.
3. Always check terminal contact before replacing any component.
4. If only one Lock Motor does not operate, check the wiring associated with the suspect Motor for an open and short. Repair/replace as necessary.
5. If Door Locks operate from the Transmitter, but not from the Door Lock Switches, check continuity of Door Lock Switch and associated wiring for an open. Repair/replace as necessary.
6. If only one Transmitter does not work:
a) Check/replace the batteries in that transmitter.
b) If Transmitter still doesn't work, replace the suspect Transmitter and program the Keyless Entry Module.
7. If one Transmitter is partially inoperative while the other is OK, replace the suspect Transmitter. Program the Keyless Entry Module.
8. Check Keyless Entry Fuse 3 if the Trunk Lid Release does not operate and LH Door Lock does not unlock.
