Driver/Vehicle Information Display: Service and Repair

CRT's are located in the center of the instrument panel assembly and may also be known as a visual information center (VIC), electronic control center (ECC), or a graphic control center (GCC).
Some of the CRT's have a controller built in. For those which do not, refer to CRT CONTROLLER
1. Disconnect battery ground cable.
2. Remove instrument panel trim plate attaching screws, then the trim plate.
3. Remove four attaching bolts securing CRT to instrument panel and mounting bracket assembly.
4. Carefully pull out CRT, then disconnect electrical connector from rear of CRT assembly.
5. Reverse procedure to install.
