Trunk Lid Pull-Down

Battery voltage is applied at all times to the Striker Motor within the Trunk Lid Pull-Down Unit. The polarity to the Striker Motor is determined by the position of the Striker Switches. In position "1", ground will be available through the Trunk Lid Latch Switch whenever the Latch is opened. With the Trunk Lid Latch Switch closed, the Striker Motor extends the Striker Unit until the Striker Switches are moved to position "2". In position "2", ground will be available through the Trunk Ajar Limit Switch once the Trunk is closed. When the Trunk is closed and the polarity reversed, the Striker Motor retracts the Striker Unit until the Striker Switches are moved to position "1".
