Fuel Pump: Description and Operation
Fuel Sender/Fuel Pump Assembly:
The fuel pump is a medium pressure twin turbine electric pump, mounted in the fuel tank. The fuel pump delivers pressurized fuel (from 9 to 13 P.S.I.) from the pump through an in-line filter to the TBI unit and injectors. Excess fuel is bled off after the injectors by the fuel pressure regulator mounted in the throttle body. Excess fuel is then returned to the fuel tank through the fuel return line.
