System Check

^ With ambient air temperature above 16C (60F), start car and set A/C Mode Selector to MAX (if equipped with A/C).
NORMAL RESULT: Coolant Fan will turn on.

^ With engine coolant below operating temperature, move A/C Mode Selector to OFF.
NORMAL RESULT: Coolant Fan turns off in a short time period.

^ Run the engine at fast idle until engine coolant becomes hot.
NORMAL RESULT: The Coolant Fan turns on and runs before the Coolant Temp Indicator comes on or the Coolant Temperature gauge reaches H.
