Headlamp Switch: Service and Repair

1. Disconnect battery ground cable.
2. Remove left instrument panel trim plate as follows:
a. Remove screws holding ALDL connector, then lower connector.
b. Remove filler panel attaching screws, then lap vent hose.
c. Remove filler panel by swinging down and pulling out.
d. Remove steering column opening filler attaching screws, then opening filler.
e. Remove left trim plate attaching screw, then trim plate. On vehicles with column shift, shift transaxle to First gear.
3. Remove switch trim plate attaching screws, then trim plate.
4. Remove switch attaching screws, then switch.
5. Reverse procedure to install.
