CONNECTING RODS AND LOCKING RODS

Disengaging Clip:

NOTE: Rods are used to connect the door lock actuating levers with the inside and outside handles and the inside lock knob. The rods are attached to the lock with spring clips.

REMOVE OR DISCONNECT
1. Door trim panel.
2. Upper retractor retaining nut and screw, position aside.
3. Seat belt guide retaining screws.
4. Pull back water deflector.
5. Inside locking rod from lock assembly.
6. Inside locking rod.

INSTALL OR CONNECT
1. Inside locking rod.
2. Inside locking rod to lock assembly.
3. Reposition water deflector.
4. Seat belt guide retaining screws.
5. Upper retractor retaining nut and screw.
6. Door trim panel.
