Fuse: Description and Operation

Supplemental inflatable restraint (SIR) system vehicles have a specific AIRBAG fuse in the I/P fuse block, located in the lower instrument panel trim pad. It is hinged to swing out for easy access.

NOTE: When closing the swing out fuse block, the lever that was pulled to open it must also be pulled when closing it. Failure to do so may damage the latch mechanism and prevent the I/P fuse block from staying closed.
