Test J: Diagnostic Trouble Code 32:

OPERATION:
The lateral acceleration switch reacts to body lift and dive. The switch is a mercury switch with a resistor connected across its contacts. The CCR controller uses this to detect faults in the circuit by monitoring the circuit's current draw. Diagnostic trouble code 32 is set when the CCR controller detects an open, short to ground, or a short to battery in the lateral acceleration switch circuit. The system continues to operate when diagnostic trouble code 32 is set, but the switch position is ignored and the fault indicator is lit. When diagnosing the switch circuit. the vehicle must be level.

POSSIBLE CAUSE:
An open, short to ground, a short to battery in the lateral acceleration switch or related wiring.
