TEST DESCRIPTION
Numbers below refers to circled number on the diagnostic chart.

1. This test checks to see if the transaxle mode switch is transmitting the command to the ECM to turn "OFF" solenoid "A" which enables 2nd gear. If solenoid "A" does not go to "OFF" and the transaxle mode switch is "ON", refer to Chart C-8B - Part 4 of 4.

DIAGNOSTIC AIDS:
The Scan tool only displays if the transaxle mode switch is "ON" or "OFF". If the information is displayed correctly and solenoid "A" is "OFF" and the transaxle is not in 2nd gear, refer to Transaxle repair.
