Standard Headlights
CIRCUIT OPERATION
HEADLIGHTS
Battery voltage is applied to the Headlight Switch at all times. When the Headlight Switch is in "HEAD," voltage is applied to the Headlight Dimmer Switch which directs voltage to the LOW Beams. When the Headlight Dimmer Switch is placed in "HI," battery voltage is applied to the HI Beam Lights and HI Beam Indicator.
FOG LIGHTS
The Fog Lights are controlled by the Headlight Switch. They can be turned on with the Park Lights or Headlights ON." With the HI Beams on, the Fog Lights go out.
The Fog Light Relay controls battery voltage to the Fog Lights. The Fog Light Switch applies voltage to the relay coil. The relay coil is grounded through the HI Beam filaments. When the "HI" Beams come on, battery voltage is at both sides of the relay coil. The relay and Fog Lights turn off.
FLASH-TO-PASS
When the Headlights are "OFF" or in LOW Beam, the HI Beam Headlights can be turned on momentarily by pulling back part way on the Multi-Function Lever. This supplies battery voltage to CKT 11, turning on the HI Beams. The HI Beams will go out as soon as the lever is released.
