This bulletin is being revised to change parts information and add the 1996 model year. Please discard Corporate Bulletin Number 31-50-13A (Section 5 - Brakes).

Due to the success of the Delphi Chassis System's ABS VI/TCS service part exchange program in providing customer/dealership feedback and minimizing service/diagnostic problems, the program has been modified effective September 1, 1995.








Effective September 1, 1995, the ABS VI/TCS service parts will be released from restriction:

At this time, the dealership may begin to order and stock the released ABS VI/TCS parts through normal GMSPO channels.

The Delphi Chassis Systems ABS VI/TCS service part exchange program is still in effect for the parts listed at the end of this bulletin. The procedure outlined below must be followed when the diagnostics contained within Section SE of the Service Manual leads to the replacement of a part contained on the restricted list.

1. Contact Delphi Chassis Technical Assistance at 1-800-523-0203 to verify diagnosis. Chevrolet Dealers ONLY: Call 1-800-227-3175.

Important:
There are no French operators at these locations. Therefore, GM of Canada Dealers without bilingual personnel should contact their regular "1-800" Technical Assistance Center number.

The following information must be provided:

^ VIN

^ Mileage

^ Dealer Code

^ Results of Diagnosis

2. Upon verification of diagnosis, the necessary part will be ordered by Delphi Chassis.

3. Within 24 hours, the part will be shipped via VIP overnight status. The VIP surcharge and overnight shipping premiums will be waived.

Important:
If any of the parts are ordered from GMSPO directly, the order will be rejected with a message to contact Delphi Chassis Technical Assistance.

4. Part returns.

a. Replacement EBCM's will be packaged in heavy gauge returnable boxes. The box will include a self-adhering return label and a short instruction sheet. Return shipping charges will be paid by Delphi Chassis via the pre-paid shipping label. Return the defective part within three days, using the pre-paid label.

b. Replacement motor packs will be packaged in heavy gauge returnable boxes and should be returned using the Corporate Parts Return Program (Corporate Bulletin Number 400501).

5. The following information must be included with all returned parts:

^ Case Number

^ VIN

^ Mileage

^ Dealer Code

^ Diagnostic Trouble Code(s)

^ Copy of Repair Order

^ Dealer Representative Name and Phone Number
