Standard Headlights

LO BEAM HEADLIGHTS
When the Headlight Switch in the Left Switch Assembly is turned on, it energizes the Headlight Relay and voltage is applied through the Lo Beam Relay through circuit 12 to the Lo Beam Headlights.

HI BEAM HEADLIGHTS
The Hi Beam Headlights are selected by operating the Headlight Dimmer Switch. Pulling back on the Headlight Dimmer Switch grounds terminal 2A2 of the BCM (Headlight Dimmer Input, BI79). When this signal is received the BCM grounds terminal 2A10 (Hi Beam Control Output, BO06). This energizes the Hi beam Relay and voltage is removed from the Lo Beam Headlights and is applied to the Hi Beam Headlights through circuit 11.

When the Headlights are on through manual control, voltage is applied to the BCM at terminal 2B6 (Headlights On Signal, BI78). The BCM also can sense internally when the Headlights are on via the Twilight Sentinel System. When the Headlights are on the BCM will switch the Headlights between Lo and Hi Beam each time the Headlight Dimmer Switch is operated.

FLASH TO PASS
When the Headlights are off the BCM will energize the Hi Beam Relay by grounding output BO06 for as long as the Headlight Dimmer Switch is held in the BEAM CHANGE position.
