Crank (or No Crank), No Start and/or BCM Code 334

*** Procedure added per Bulletin No.: 318113 ***

CONDITION
Some owners of 1986-1989 Cadillac Eldorados and Sevilles, and 1986-1993 Buick Rivieras and 1986-1992 Oldsmobile Toronados may experience a condition of a crank but no start and possibly a BCM code 334 set; or some 1990-1991 Eldorados, Sevilles, and 1986-1993 Rivieras or 1986-1992 Toronados may experience a no crank and no start condition and possibly a BCM code 334 set. This condition may be caused by a corroded splice on circuit 480 at fusible link B (Cadillac) or fusible link J (Riviera and Toronado), located at the ISO power junction block. Refer to image.

CAUSE
Circuit 480 and fusible link B or J is the "HOT AT ALL TIMES" feed to the ECM on all model years. In 1990, circuit 480 and fusible link B or J also became the "HOT AT ALL TIMES" feed to the PASSKey module. This is the reason for the addition of the no crank condition to the 1990-1993 model years.

CORRECTION
Repair fusible link splice.
