"Key In Ignition" Warning Chime
Wiring Diagram:
CIRCUIT DESCRIPTION
The BCM provides system voltage to the ignition key warning circuit, and the ignition key warning switch provides the single path to ground. The BCM supplies and internally monitors the voltage level of the circuit at pin 3D15. When the ignition key warning circuit is open the BCM will detect system voltage, but if the ignition key warning switch provides a path to ground (key in ignition switch and switch in lock position), the BCM will detect low voltage. Once the BCM has determined that all of the failure conditions have met, it will turn on the medium paced chime on the chime module.
TEST CONDITION(S)
None
FAILURE CONDITION(S)
1. Key in ignition.
2. Driver door is open.
3. Ignition is OFF.
ACTION TAKEN
1. Activate the medium chime on the chime module
