"Washer Fluid" Light
Wiring Diagram:
CIRCUIT DESCRIPTION
The BCM provides system voltage to the low washer fluid circuit, and the washer fluid level switch provides the single path to ground. The BCM supplies and internally monitors the voltage level of the circuit at pin 2A6 (BI09). When the washer fluid level circuit is open the BCM will detect system voltage, but if the washer fluid level switch provides a path to ground (low washer fluid condition present), the BCM will detect low voltage. If this condition exists for at least 15 seconds, the BCM will turn on the WASHER FLUID light on the Instrument Panel Cluster (IPC).
TEST CONDITION(S)
1. Ignition 3 voltage is present.
FAILURE CONDITION(S)
1. Low washer fluid level exists for at least 15 seconds.
ACTION TAKEN
1. Display the WASHER FLUID telltale on the IPC.
DIAGNOSIS
1. Condition
^ Erroneous Message
Possible Causes
^ Short to ground on CKT 99 or
^ shorted sensor
2. Condition
^ No Message
Possible Causes
^ Open in CKT 99,
^ open in sensor, or
^ open in CKT 803
