General Service Precautions

The following general precautions should be observed when servicing and diagnosing the Antilock Brake System, Traction Control System and/or other vehicle systems. Failure to observe these precautions may result in Antilock Brake System damage. Refer to "Cautions and Notices". Service Precautions
^ Disconnect the EBCM/EBTCM and valve block connectors before performing any vehicle welding work using an electric arc welder.
^ Never connect or disconnect the EBCM/EBTCM and valve block connectors with the ignition switch in the RUN position.
^ Do not disassemble any component designated as nonserviceable. Some antilock brake system components are not serviced separately and must be replaced as an assembly.
