Voltmeter

The volts gage displays the voltage of the vehicle's electrical system with the ignition in "RUN", "BULB TEST" or "START." With the engine not running, the volts gage indicates battery voltage. With the engine running, the volts gage indicates charging system voltage.

The volts gage is an electronically controlled air core display. This display is not linear, it is more precise in the middle than at the extremes of its range.
