Transaxle Mounted Neutral Start Switch (Tmnss)

Purpose:
The PARK/NEUTRAL switch indicates to the computer when the transmission is in PARK or NEUTRAL.

Operation:
This information is used by the computer for Timing, Idle Air Control (IAC), Torque Converter Clutch (TCC) and canister purge operation. DO NOT drive the vehicle with the PARK/NEUTRAL switch disconnected, since idle quality may be affected.

Location:
The Transaxle Mounted Neutral Start Switch is mounted to the transaxle.
