Circuit Breakers

CIRCUIT BREAKERS:
^ Open when circuit current exceeds their rating, and will close again after they cool.
^ Continue to open and close until cause of the excess current is corrected.
^ Should have less than 1 ohm resistance between terminals.

CIRCUIT BREAKER (PTC)
^ Positive Temperature coefficient (PTC) circuit breakers increase in resistance greatly when excessive current passes through them, effectively opening the circuit.
^ PTC circuit breakers close when voltage is removed from their terminals.
