Steering Wheel - Slight Vibration

SUBJECT:
SLIGHT STEERING WHEEL VIBRATION (INSTALL TWO NUTS TO STEERING COLUMN SUPPORT BRACKET)

MODELS:
1994 BUICK PARK AVENUE
(VIN BREAKPOINTS: R1600063 THROUGH R1602450)

Condition:
Some vehicles within the above listed VIN breakpoints may experience a slight steering wheel vibration.

Cause:
Two nuts, securing the left side of the steering column support bracket to the I/P beam assembly, may have been omitted during production.

Correction:

1. Lower the left I/P trim panel below the steering column by removing four screws and one wing nut.





2. Refer to illustration and inspect for the nuts called out.

3. Install nuts, P/N 11505005 and torque to 10 N-m (89 lb.in.).

4. Install lower I/P trim panel.
