Keyless Entry: Description and Operation

^ Remote accessory control (RAC) module receives digitally encoded UHF signals from a key chain transmitter. No two transmitters have the same code.
^ Effective range of transmitter is approximately 10.0 meters (33 feet) above 0°C (32°F) and 7.0 meters (23 feet) below 0°C (32°F).
^ RAC module operates door locks, luggage compartment lid release, retained accessory power, remote keyless entry/automatic door locks, illuminated entry and theft deterrent system (if equipped).
^ If vehicle is started with gear selector lever in NEUTRAL, automatic door locks are disabled until next time vehicle is started with gear selector lever in PARK.
