TCC/Antilock Brake Switch

The TCC/antilock brake switch is integral to the electrical and Vacuum Release Brake Switch.

The EBCM/EBTCM monitors brake pedal position using the TCC/antilock brake switch. The switch is normally closed, but it opens when the brake pedal is depressed approximately 40%. During ABS braking when 40% brake travel is exceeded, the EBCM/EBTCM turns on the Pressure Modulator valve (PMV) pump motor to build pressure and raise the brake pedal. The EBCM/EBTCM turns off the pump motor when brake pedal height rises sufficiently to close the TCC/antilock brake switch.
