Troubleshooting Hints - Interior Lights
PERFORM BEFORE BEGINNING SYSTEM DIAGNOSISNOTE:
^ If vehicle is left for 24 or more days without the Ignition Switch being put in "RUN", the Keyless Entry and Illuminated Entry features will be disabled to decrease parasitic battery drain. Putting the Ignition Switch in "RUN" will restore these features.
^ Interrupting battery voltage to the Multi-Function Alarm module by disconnecting the vehicle's battery or disconnecting the module will cause the interior lights-ON delay to be only 2 to 4 minutes, until the vehicle has travelled more than 15 miles with battery power restored to the module.
^ The Multi-function Alarm Module controls Interior Lights and generates chime alarms (refer to Audible Warning Device). It also controls Automatic Door Lock (refer to Power Locks) and Seat Belt Release Solenoids (refer to Automatic Seat Belts). Verify that all chime alarms operate before proceeding with following diagnostic text. If any chime alarms do not operate, refer to Audible Warning Device.

2. If only one light does not operate, check bulb and related wiring.
3. Check that the Multi-function Alarm Module is properly seated.
4. If Power Door Locks do not operate, check CTSY Fuse.
5. If Interior Lights are intermittently inoperative, check that there are no Interior Lights left ON, especially the Luggage Compartment and I/P Compartment Lights.
