TEST CONDITIONS

The Control Module will monitor the lateral accelerator switch signal for invalid voltage levels.

FAULT CONDITIONS

If lateral accelerator switch voltage is too high or too low, set code.

ACTION TAKEN

Record lateral accelerator switch error,
Turn on both driver select switch L.E.D.'s,
Disable lateral accelerator switch input until valid voltage level is detected.

DESCRIPTION

A lateral accelerator switch error occurs when the lateral accelerator switch signal is short-circuited to B+ or ground, or the lateral accelerator switch is open-circuited or disconnected. Recovery occurs upon detection of valid lateral accelerator switch input voltage.
