Popping Noise from Front of Vehicle when Turning Steering Wheel
(Install Jounce Bumper and Bushing in Front Strut)

Condition

Some owners may comment on a popping noise from the front of the vehicle when turning the steering wheel with the vehicle sitting still or during a parking maneuver.

Cause

This condition may be due to the jounce bumper contacting/rubbing on the strut rod.

Correction

Install improved jounce bumper and bushing in front strut following the appropriate service procedure in Section 3C of the Service Manual.
