Test at Oil Filter

NOTICE: if the oil pressure does not build up almost immediately, remove the oil pan and check oil pump screen assembly attachment to the pump. if necessary, dismantle the oil pump, fill all cavities with petroleum jelly and re-assmble. Running the engine without measurable oil pressure will cause extensive damage.

Remove or Disconnect

CAUTION: The engine cooling fan must be disconnected when servicing the oil filter area to prevent personal injury.

1. Cooling fan connector.

Important: To prevent injury, the engine cooling fan must be disconnected when servicing oil filter area.

2. Oil filter from engine.

Install or Connect
1. Oil pressure tester J 25087-C.
2. Start the engine.

Inspect
- Oil pressure, Oil Pressure 103 kPa (15 psi) at 1100 RPM

Remove or Disconnect
1. Oil pressure tester.

Install or Connect
1. Oil filter.
2. Cooling fan connector.

Inspect
- Oil level and engine for leaks.
